Trekking in Nepal can be undertaken though the year. Each season has it’s difference attraction to offer. The seasons are classified as follow:

1. AUTUMN (September – November) This season offer excellent weather and tantalizing Mountain view.

2. WINTER (December – February) This season is noted for occasional snowfalls only at higher elevations. Hence it is ideal for trekking at lower elevations generally below 3000 meters.

It is mildly warm at lower elevations and at higher elevation over 400 meters, the Mountain view are excellent while the temperature is quite moderate.

SUMMER (June – August) Summer months continue up to end August making ravel wet and warm. these times are blessed for the keen botanist as the higher valleys and meadows blossom with flowers and bush vegetation. It is recommended to carry isect repellents when trekking during these summer month.

TREKKING AREAS:

ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP
Annapurna sanctuary area is the most popular trekking area and is covered with an alpine flora and fauna. The major inhabitants are Mongolian peoples. This area is not only known as the most commercialised but also as the most dangerous destination, due to the unexpected snowing avalanches in both winter and early springs season. The maximum elevation of this trek will be the Annapurna base camp (3,900 m.). In addition, this trek offers a chance to view a panoramic scene of Annapurna ranges, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Himchuli and so on. No doubt it could be a life time experience for those who trek into this region.

LANGTANG TREKKING
Langtang, Gosainkunda and Helambu is situated north of Kathmandu and the ethnic group, known as Tamangs mostly populated this area. The culture language and their customs are much similar to the Tibetans. The views of snowy mountain peaks, like the Langtang Lirung (7,246 m.). Gangchenpo (5,846 m.), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m.) are excellent. Langtang valley itself is an another marvelous attraction for tourists. One can set out this trek, drive out from Kathmandu to Dhunche either by local or reserved bus. Approximately 6 to 7 hours drive. But this year last moon soon place call Ramchi their are very big landslide and it is not repair at and this day last bus station is in Ramchi and our trekking will start from Ramchi.

MANASLU REGION TREKKING
The area to the east of the Annapurna are the peaks of Manaslu group. Few visitors trek to this area, which makes a visit hear all the more unique and unspoiled. The area is bordered by River Budhi Gandaki and to the West by River Marshyangdi. This area is marked by two culture highlights: Gorkha, which is the ancestral seat of the reigning Shah dynasty and the temple of Manakaman. Since the treks in the Manaslu region originate at around 1,000 meters and reach as high as 5,200 meters, the trekker will see a wide range of flora typical of the middle hills and alpine regions of Nepal. Plants to be seen around here are pine, rhododendron, wildlife include barking deer, pika and Himalayan marmots. Birds to be sighted in the region are pheasant, ravenand chough. People of Tibetan orgin inhabit several Villages. Other greoups found here are Gurung and Tamangs.
The best time to trek hears is between September to May. This trek was officially opened to tourists in 1991.

AROUND ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREKKING
In recent, this has become most popular and busy for trekking. Before opening in 1977, a few lucky scientist expedition groups had trekked into this region. Any group that is planning to do this trek, must have a pre-consideration with regard to the porter’s clothing’s and equipment at the moment of crossing Throng-La pass (5,416 m.). Sometimes it may be risky due to the bad weather such as snowing heavily, strong wind blowing, blocking of the trails etc. may cause problems. Sometimes the trekkers have to face the possibility of danger of the high altitude, when they have not yet acclimatized to the high clean elevation.

Everest trek is one of the most appreciated and adventurous trek in Nepal, as you can see the Mt. Everest and many other mountains and different culture and life style of people mostly Buddhist. The tradition and culture of the people living in Everest area is similar to Tibetan people. While doing Everest trek you will either way be able to experience the best part of Himalayas.

Experience the full variety that the Everest region has to offer – tropical valleys, thundering rivers; busting markets, glacial valleys and snow clad peaks.
his trek begins with a mountain flight, always exciting, to Tumlingar before heading into the beautiful and remote Arun Valley in the eastern Everest region – an area astoundingly rich in flora and fauna, with numerous species of birds and animals found no where else in the country. From the fertile tropical valleys inhabited by Rai peoples cross the Salpa Bhanjyang pass and alpine ridges to reach to Dudh Kosi Valley, heartland of the Sherpa. Namche Bazaar is a colorful, busting market with traders from surrounding villages and as far as Tibet, and from Tangboche the views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam are sensational. News from Nepal :Is it safe to travel to Nepal after Earthquakes

Break free Adv. – May 30, 2015

The recent earthquake in Nepal has created lots of confusion in the international market whether or not Nepal is safe to travel. The uncertainty, the hesitancy is understandable as the devastating earthquake had shaken up the lives here in Nepal, however, things are gradually catching up the pace and life is slowly coming back to normalcy. Here are some important information that we have collected from various sources which should help learn more about Nepal – after the quake.

Is Nepal Safe? The Government of Nepal, Ministry of culture, Tourism and Civil aviation on its press release has assured that Nepal is safe and secured place to visit. Except for the earthquake worst hit districts (out of 75 districts of Nepal, only 8 are affected), life has come back to normalcy; everyone is back to their daily routines.

Heres what Andrew Jones a vice-chairman of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) has to say “I have visited Nepal several times. My first impression towards Nepal after the April 25 deadly earthquake was that the country had been devastated. The international media reports showed that everything had been destroyed. But when I arrived here, it was much better than I had anticipated. To be honest, I didn’t have any problems visiting the country. No dangers at all. In general, I don’t find Nepal unsafe to visit. There are many places in Nepal that have escaped the disaster, and there are many places to visit.”

Tribhuvan international airport (TIA): The country’s international airport is back into its normal operation. All international and domestic flights are operating normally.

Trekking routes & other destinations : “There are still many places in Nepal which is safe for trekking. Affected parts can be re-constructed and restarted within a month” – Tourism expert Prachanda Man Shrestha.

Everest Region: As per the Toursim.gov.np, the Everest Trekking Route (Khumbu Trekking) is safe. Moreover, our team has also reached up to Namche and has assured that it is safe for trekking.

Annapurna Region: The Annapurna routes are safe, these areas have very minimal impact of the earthquake.

Mustang/Dolpo/Makalu: These are also the least affected trekking areas. It has been assured that Mustang & Dolpo can be operated in this summer without any issue.

Other Popular Destinations: Many of the trekking routes have a minimum impact of earthquake. Moreover, other popular destinations like Pokhara, Lumbini, Palpa, Chitwan, Bardiya and various national parks and wildlife reserves are safe and intact.

Places in mid and Far western development regions like Dolpa, Rara of Mugu, Badimalika, Khaptad, Rolpa/Rukum are known as center and capital of natural beauty.

We can develop gurilla trekking Trail in these areas. TAAN has discovered more than three dozens of trekking routes and now they want to develop it and increase number of tourists according to chief of Trekking Agents Association of Nepal Mr. GR Panta.

Heritage sites of Nepal: The government is opening heritage sites in Kathmandu for tourists from June 15. Director General of the Department of Archaeology confirmed that they will open Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath and Patan Durbar Square for the tourists officially from that day. He further added that Boudhanath, Budhanilkantha and Pashupatinath are safe for sightseeing even today.

Hotels/Resorts: Most of the hotels in the Kathmandu valley are in full operations including five star hotels, resorts and other restaurants. The Government of Nepal is inspecting hotels to identify if the property is safe to stay or not considering the extent of damage caused by the recent earthquake.

Communications: Telephone services, Internet is operating as normal.

It is the high time to explore Nepal and visit virgin destinations of Nepal. And as mentioned in the TIME, one of the Best Way to Help Nepal Recover from the Quake is to Go There on Vacation. You will see something different this time – the other side of Nepal.

Herbs days in May

Herbs and flower in the plate

During the month of May surrounding the hamlet of Verana you can observe the extraordinary blooming of natural herbs and flowers.
An old lady makes a list of 30 different natural herbs that in the past were used in the kitchen, some very know and sweetness as the spinach and the “bistorta”, others with a bitter taste as the echium and the “bardana”.
The herbs used in the kitchen are harvested before their blooming because after they could produce toxic substance. For example, the “raperonzolo” or the “ajucca”  when they grow and bloom their green flowers become violet and during this change they are toxic. The “epilobio” during the first period of growth has a green stem and it’s very savoury as the asparagus, but during the second period of growth its stem loses its colouring and it is advised against cooking it.
During the month of May if you book in the bed and breakfast I will go with us through the hamlets of Verana, Ecreux and Outreleve discovering and identifying the herbs and flowers. You could also have a dinner in a typical nice reastaurant “La Louye de la Gomba” in the Crest village where you can taste the delicious herbs.
