Charming chalet bed and breakfast
La Maison de grand maman is a charming chalet in Aosta valley
restoring the old eighteenth-century stone house.
I create the rooms with innovative wood design and I refurbish the furniture preserving the original wood and the traditional building.
There are two-floors where the smell of wood blends the precious fabrics and the suggestive lighting. The traditional details and the old and sophisticated furniture create an unique atmosphere where you could “breathing a chalet ambience”.
The B&B is composed of a kitchen nearby an old cellar, the old restored stable now used as a breakfast room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms.
“La maison de grand maman” is located in a little and nice hamlet of Aosta valley, nearby the local road. During good weather you can relax yourself under the trees in the garden near the house.
I cook breakfasts with organic and typical products: cakes, croissants, filled focaccia bread, chestnuts and figs pumpernickel.
In each bathroom there are shampoos based on alpine flowers without nickel.
During the summer you can taste the organic and fresh vegetables produced in my vegetable garden.
For a week booking the guided day trip in the mountain is included in the price.
Hiking and naturalist tour in the Park of Mont Avic and Alleigne valley
I’m not only the owner of the bed and breakfast but also a nature guide. I can go with us discovering particular mountain environments, rare flowers and observing wild animals.
From May to October I organize theme walking tour in the Champorcher valley.
May is the month of the natural herbs:
weekend where you can do walking tour discovering nice hamlets as Verana, Ecreux and Outreleve, observing the 30 natural herbs that are cooked in the past.
Have dinner in a typical restaurant La Coumba de la Louye where you could taste original recipes based on natural herbs.
Juny, July and August are the best months to observe the rare flowers of Alleigne valley and the Miserin lake. I can also organize photographic walking tour watching the female of chamoises that play with their puppies on the snow or the steinbocks long the faces of Mont Dela.
I can go with us till the Mont Glacier to admire the whole view on the Valle d’Aosta discovering the countless lakes of the Park of Mont Avic called “little Canada”.
During the first week of July I’ll present with other authors the guidebook of the Champorcher valley where you can find the description of flora, fauna and the trails.
You can ask any informations about event and dinner organisation. I’m also helpful to give you any tourist informations.
